A Munich-style Helles brewed to Bock strength, our version of this German Spring-to-Summer lager blends Pilnser and Munich malts with Maris Otter and a pinch of Double Roast Crystal to lay a sweet, lightly toasty malt foundation, balanced with a sprinkling of Tettnang hops.
Deep gold in colour, aromas of fresh baked bread accented with newly-mown grass carry through to toffee and boiled sweets with subtle cake spice notes on the palate. For a relatively big beer it’s light bodied and easy to drink, with low to moderate bitterness and a crisp finish.
