Brewed with beet masters McColl’s Brewery, we added fresh beetroot to a classic ESB, imparting a complimentary sweet earthy note to the rich, malt body offered by the combination of Chevalier, Crystal, Aromatic and Black grains alongside floral Goldings hops from Kent.
The beer pours a deep amber-red, a colour that puts a smile on your face even as the glass is being filled. The aroma is a careful balance of ESB and beetroot, with both in harmony and neither overpowering the other. Caramel and fresh fruit aromas suggest toffee apples, mouthfeel is soft and smooth; full bodied, moderately bitter with a long finish.
