Rich mahogany in colour with a thick, creamy head, this contemporary take on the classic Scottish 80 Shilling style is fermented low and slow to let the grains do the talking. Maris Otter, wheat, rye, Aromatic and Black malts offer a luscious combination of toffee, fresh-baked bread and apple crumble on the nose and an inviting silky mouthfeel encourages a generous first sip. A velvet smooth concoction of dried fruit and caramel pairs with timber yard pine and citrus-resin, along with just enough rounded hop bitterness to ensure a clean, crisp finish.
